Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord. Let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:1

Singing and making music to God are among the primary reasons we gather for worship each week. Participation in our music ministry is also a great way to experience community here at CMA. There are several ways we encourage participation in music. If you are interested in serving, request information below.

Weekly Worship Team

This core group of singers and rhythm section instrumentalists rehearses weekly to lead our congregation in singing during Sunday morning worship and special events.

We regularly use a combination of guitars, drums, keyboards, and solo instruments. Participation is by audition.

Orchestra

The CMA Orchestra is made up of musicians spanning many generations and skill levels. Orchestra meets Sunday afternoons from 4-6p, and leads in worship about once a month during the school year, as well as special seasonal programs (e.g. Christmas, Easter).

Orchestra is open to anyone with at least three years experience, middle school age and up.

Choir

One of the best encouragers of congregational singing is an enthusiastic choir. Choir meets Wednesday nights from 6-8p, and leads in worship about once a month during the school year, as well as special seasonal programs (e.g. Christmas, Easter).

Choir is open to anyone, regardless of experience, middle school age and up.

Tech Arts

One of the most crucial components to our weekly worship services is our dedicated team of Audio-Visual volunteers. There are always opportunities to be trained in the areas of sound, video, lights, and broadcasting.

If you are interested in serving in Tech Arts, we’d love to hear from you.

Meet Pastor Craig

Craig Biondi
Pastor for Worship

Craig is driven by his passion is for congregational singing and encouraging God’s people to use their artistic talents for His glory. Originally from Texas, he was ordained to Gospel ministry at Liberty Park Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama in 2010, and has served in churches large and small across the country.

Above all else, Craig hopes to inspire the people of CMA to be a singing church, proclaiming the truth of the Gospel through songs old and new.

Craig studied music at the University of Texas at Austin and the Hartt School of Music (Hartford, CT), from where he holds a Master’s degree in classical composition. Craig is a professional composer and arranger, and in addition to serving at CMA, is typically engaged with commissions from performing organizations (mostly colleges, high schools). “For some reason, God gave me this compulsion to compose music that doesn’t always fit in the ‘church’ atmosphere. Being involved in the secular fine arts space also gives me an opportunity to be a light to an often-skeptical group of people.” You can hear some of Craig’s music at telltalemusic.com.

Craig married up big-time in 1999, and he and his amazing wife Lynsey have three children, Lula, Jubal, and Milimo. Craig loves telling Dad jokes, hiking, grammar, Mexican food, and corny science fiction movies.
