Prophecy & The End Times: Are we living in the Last Days

For: Any Adult

Examining topics related to:
• Importance of studying bible prophecy
• The rapture vs the second coming; are they separate events?
• Timing of the rapture
• Doctrine of Imminency
• Daniel’s 70th week
• The great tribulation and related signs
• The “Ezekiel War” and potential timing
• The 1,000-year Millennial reign of Christ

Our class will examine the importance of studying bible prophecy, how it gives us hope and why it should produce holy living. We will look at the absolute certainty of Christ’s return and will be using a study guide as well as formulated hand out questions to facilitate discussion as we dig into God’s word each week. Hebrews 10:25 encourages us to meet all the more as we see the day of Jesus return nearing. That tells us we should know with certainty his return is close. That in turn will give us comfort as things progressively deteriorate in society as the tribulation approaches. This is known as our blessed hope. The class should generate excitement as the bride of Christ (the church) sees her wedding day approach!

Bible Translations: Why So Many & Which is the Best?

For: Any Adult

There are so many English translations of the Bible that it can be confusing to know how to pick one. Understanding why some Bible verses differ in other translations is also a mystery to most (or at least a misunderstanding). This class will provide a clear (and calm) approach to understanding the differences between the major (and a few minor) translations. It will also help you determine a more educated answer to the question of what is the “best” translation for you. The book, Bible Translations Made Easy, along with occasional videos will be used for class discussions.
